 Sunflower, (genus Helianthus), genus of nearly 70 species of herbaceous plants of the aster family (Asteraceae). Sunflowers are native primarily to North and South America, and some species are cultivated as ornamentals for their spectacular size and flower heads and for their edible seeds. The Jerusalem artichoke (Helianthus tuberosus) is cultivated for its edible underground tubers.

  Arali Poo flower also known as  Oleander  in english is a small shrub flower of sub-tropical and temperate climate. It is grown for its amazing floral beauty.

  The  scientific  name  of  this  plant  is  Crossandra  infundibuliformis  .  _  This plant belongs to the Acanthaceae family.  [1]  It is best known for its flowers.  These belong to the shrub type.  It is grown in homes for beauty and commercial purposes.  This flower is found in South India, Sri Lanka and Malaysia.  Its specialty is that its flowers are displayed in eye-catching colors like saffron, pink and yellow.

It is widely cultivated as an ornamental plant in the tropics and subtropics, but its native range is Vanuatu.
